The Drogowle - Raków bicycle trail is a black marked bike trail, 25 kilometres long. It runs on the edge of the Ciśniańsko-Orłowiński Landscape Park. The trail is quite easy, is suitable for recreational trips, and its greatest advantage is peace, lack of car traffic and its route through very remote areas, vast forests, small villages and arable fields.
The general route of the trail is as follows: Raków, centre (0.0 km) - Potok (8.0 km) - Głuchów-Lasy - (14.5 km) - Drogowle (25.1 km).
The trail starts on the market square in Raków. This is one of the most interesting places in the Świętokrzyskie Province. From the beginning of its existence, the city was associated with Arianism, i.e. a radical faction of Calvinists formed in the 16th century and existing until the end of the seventeenth century, also called "the Polish Brethren". An Arian church functioned here, the building of which has been preserved to this day. There was also an Arian printing house, and in 1602-1638 there was the famous Rakowska Academy. Currently, apart from the church, it is worth seeing a late-Baroque Holy Trinity parish church in Raków. One of the rest areas of the Green Velo trail is at the market square. You can see here an old well and a fountain with water sculptures of crustaceans referring to the name of the city.
The route runs in the south-east direction to the village of Potok. This is one of the few villages on the way to the end of the trail. There is a Baroque church in it. Further on the route you can see only individual farms, because the area is very sparsely populated. Cultivated fields are intertwined with nice forests. Such a landscape accompanies the cyclist to the end of the route in Drogowla, where you can see another Baroque temple.
From Drogowla, you can return to Raków along the Green Velo route, covering a loop of 30 kilometres. This is an excellent route for an easy and pleasant cycling trip.
