The yellow trail in the Narol Municipality is one of six bike loops you can choose from in the area of this locality. This one is number 3, and it goes from Narol to the village of Wielka Wola and back, using only paved roads with little traffic. The route is just under 16 kilometres long and has a typically recreational character. Along the way, there are several interesting sights and places to see, including numerous memorial shrines, stone crosses and monuments. The marking follows the standard of the PTTK (Polish Tourism and Sightseeing Society) and takes the form of metal plates nailed to tree trunks.

The general course of the trail is as follows: Narol, market square (0.0 km) - Łukawica (5.2 km) - Wola Wielka (7.6 km) - Jacków Ogród (9.5 km) - Dębiny (11.1 km) - Narol (15.9 km).

The route begins in Narol, in the market square. The Town Hall is close by, and a little further and off the trail, there are two other interesting buildings, an Orthodox church and the Łosiów Palace. You can visit them or leave that for another trip, but seeing them is a must.  From Narol, the route goes to the adjacent village of Lipsko, which has an interesting regional museum. From there, the trail follows the road that goes to the village of Werchrata, gently climbing the edge of the Tanew Valley. The trail traverses fields, passing the remnants of fortifications from the 17th century and a monument to the victims of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. Before the village of Łukawica, the trail passes by broads, which are one of the sources of the Tanew River. In Łukawica and the next village, Wola Wielka, you can see old cottages and chapels.  Wola Wielka, which has the highest elevation on the entire trail, has an old and quite destroyed wooden Orthodox church from the end of the 18th century. Between 1939 and 1941, the border between Nazi Germany and Soviet Union was close to the village. The remnants of the Soviet “fortified regions of the new state border”, more commonly known as the Molotov Line, can be still found here. On the Wielki Dział hill, you can see a shelter complete with a cloche. It came from the pre-war Polish fortifications in the eastern region, where it was disassembled and used again by the Soviets. In the surrounding forests, there are more such shelters, and other mysterious places, such as the ruins of a monastery on the top of the Monastyr Hill, or the “Devil’s stone”. From here on, the trail starts to descent, returning to Narol via the villages of Jacków Ogród and Dębiny. In the former village, there is a folk gallery in an old, whitewashed cottage. The hill called Trzy Kopce, dominating over the village of Dębiny, has an interesting legend associated with it. From this point, the route turns back to the north towards Narol, together with a Green Velo trail. Along the way, you can see cemeteries of victims of a cholera epidemic.

Points of interest along the trail:

  1. Narol - market square, religious monuments
  2. Lipsko - regional museum
  3. Remnants of earthen fortifications behind the village of Lipsko
  4. Stone crosses and monuments
  5. Łukawica - headwaters
  6. Wola Wielka - historic Orthodox church
  7. Jacków Ogród - folk gallery
  8. Jędrzejówka - cemetery of the victims of a cholera epidemic

The entire trail is suitable for bicycles with panniers/bike trailers. The trail uses solely roads with no motor vehicle traffic allowed or local roads with a low and very low vehicle traffic; no dangerous intersections. The trail is especially recommended for families with children and bike trailers for kids. Recreational character.
