The Museum of Toys and Play in Kielce
Museums, ethnographic parks
It is the largest and oldest toy museum in Poland. Several thousand exhibits are presented on 631 square metres. Visitors can see several different exhibitions, such as dolls from all over the world, historical and folk toys, car models, aircraft, ships, electric cars and theatre marionettes.
The Museum is housed in a historical 19th century building, once home to an indoor market. Every day at noon, a local Baba Yaga, sculpted by renowned artist Arkadiusz Latos, peeks out from the clock tower of the museum. A visit to the museum is a great adventure for children, which is why it designs interactive exhibitions where young discoverers of the history of toys can not only see but also touch the exhibits. During the tour, children have the opportunity to play in the play area, and in the summer also in the Museum courtyard.
