Narew National Park
National Parks, nature parks, nature reserves, Natura 2000 areas
It is one of the youngest national parks in Poland. Its task is to protect an anastomosing river system (i.e. a river with many anabranches), which is one of the few systems of this kind in the world.
This area is inhabited by breeding birds that represent as many as 155 species, including the western marsh harrier – the symbol of the Park. In the seat of the Park in Kurowo, you can see an educational exhibition, rent a kayak, make a bonfire or pitch a tent. It also serves as the starting point of two paths: Park Przydworski (The Manor Park) and Kładka wśród Bagien (The Footbridge in the Marsh).
