Jewish cemetery and the grave of Tzaddik Elimelech
War Commemoration Places
The grave of Tzaddik Elimelech at the Leżajsk cemetery is a particularly important place for the Jewish Orthodox community all over the world.
The ohel is visited on the anniversary of the tzaddik’s death, as well as on other important holidays. Rabbi Elimelech was known as a healer, an avid leader of the Hasidic movement and the author of Noam Elimelech. The cemetery itself, which has been thoroughly restored after the destruction perpetrated by the Nazis, also deserves attention.
