Energy Science Centre
Amusement parks
The exhibition of the Energy Science Centre is divided into three subject zones: Fire and Earth, Air and Water, and Man. It consists of 28 interactive stations that allow visitors to carry out individual experimentation that has to do with energy processing and use. They all tell the story of energy, and the entire exhibition has the air of an old factory.
Probably the most recognisable exhibit is a powerful wheel-and-axle, weighing over half a ton. This device resembles a mining combine, but is set in motion by human strength. You could call it a hamster wheel, but it is not just about running. The visitor’s task is to extract as much material as possible from the earth’s interior and to transport it to the main tank, from which it is moved to a higher level using the Archimedes’ screw.
The brains of the entire exhibition, its control room and its command centre is the Power Generator laboratory, suspended on the mezzanine in a large glass cage. It’s where you can carry out experiments in biology, chemistry and physics. We have prepared an offer for both school groups and families.
