This sanctuary is called the “Sandomierska Częstochowa”. There is a miraculous image of Our Lady of Sorrows from 1450, to which many make pilgrimages.
The venerated painting is kept in a church in the English Gothic style, built between 1871 and 1888. The church complex of the sanctuary also contains a smaller and older church, built in the 13th century and rebuilt in the Baroque style around the year 1600. In its former sacristy, you can see a memorial dedicated to the Home Army branch “Jędrusie”.
