Museum of Folk Culture/Ethnographic Park in Kolbuszowa
Museums, ethnographic parks
The open-air museum in Kolbuszowa is a charming village from turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
It presents the culture of the Lasowiak and Rzeszowiak peoples, who once lived in the northern part of what is now the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Over 80 examples of wooden architecture are featured on an area of almost 30 hectares. These include cottages, barns, granaries, a water mill, windmills, forges, an oil mill and a pottery workshop, as well as a school, an inn, a firehouse and the church of St. Mark. As you walk around the museum, you'll see a world that no longer exists and understand the peasant soul.
