A small town located roughly 2 kilometres from Raczki, at the Rospuda river. It is famous for the ruins of a neo-Gothic palace built in the years 1820 -1827 by a general of the Polish army under Napoleon, Ludwik Michał Pac.

Fascinated by the art and economics of England, the count introduced many innovative solutions to these lands, e.g. he introduced crop rotation, which was rarely used at that time. The palace was demolished in 1887. Until today, only a fine arcaded porch, a corner watchtower called Stork Tower and the remains of the basement have survived. Both the residence and its owner went down to the treasury of Polish proverbs: “Worthy is Pac of his palace, and the palace of Pac”, meaning a rather critical assessment of two people or institutions.
