The trip starts near the railway station in Kętrzyn. It is worth visiting the local castle of the Teutonic Order and the museum housed within it, the Church of St. George – a part of the defence system of old Kętrzyn, and a historic 19th-century horse stud, famous for breeding cold-blooded horses and for shows during which several stallions are led in one row (the stable’s world record is 22 stallions). After Kętrzyn, the trail runs through Karolewo. In the village there is a neo-Gothic church with uniquely decorated interiors, built at the end of the 19th century. The next attraction on the trail is Wolf’s Lair – Adolf Hitler’s military headquarters hidden in the forest near Gierłoża. You can sightsee it on your own or with a guide for around one hour. It is also worth visiting the Warmia and Masuria miniature park situated in the nearby Parcz village. Then the trail of the trip runs on a local road to Nowa Różanka, passing by the beach on Lake Mój and information boards near the old tree growth. From Nowa Różanka the trail leads to Solanka, from where you can ride a cycling path to Srokowo. It is worth noting the historic building arrangement of the centre of the village. Then the trail merges with the Green Velo trail. In front of Leśniewo, a cobblestone road diverges from it to the left, leading to the Bismarck Tower. The next attraction of the trail is the unfinished Masurian Canal with impressive sluices. The Leśniewo Dolne Sluice is visible on the right side of the path. From this point, you can ride along the canal to the Leśniewo Górne Sluice. In Węgorzewo, the trail passes by the canal, turns right onto the promenade and runs beside the Ethnographic Park on the Węgorapa river and the castle of the Teutonic Order, leading to the PTTK resort.

Trail option (55 km):

From Nowa Różanka, you can ride a local road through Szczeciniak to Solanka, bypassing the section of the busy provincial road no. 650 which is not accompanied by a cycling path.

Surface and marking of the trail:
