The red trail in the Narol Municipality is one of six bike loops you can choose from in the area of this locality. This one is number 2 and it goes from Narol to Podlesina and back, mainly using paved roads, mostly via Roztocze forests. The route is less than 20 kilometres long and has a typically recreational character, although it features a lot of hills. Along the way, you can see numerous memorial stone crosses and monuments. The marking follows the standard of the PTTK (Polish Tourism and Sightseeing Society) and takes the form of metal plates nailed to tree trunks. Due to the morphology of the terrain, it is easier to ride this trail in the following order: first, go to Podlesina passing by the palace. In this way, the fragment between Podlesina and village of Chyże will be a long downhill stretch, while the climbs will be divided into several stretches at the beginning of the route, between Narol and Podlesina.

The general course of the trail is as follows: Narol, market square (0.0 km) - Podlesina (6.2 km) - turn of the trail behind the village Chyże (10.4 km) - “Miniokąt” reserve (13.3 km) - Narol (19.2 km).

The route begins in Narol, in the market square. The Town Hall, situated right in the middle of the square, is very interesting architecturally. The trail heads to the north, in the direction of the Łosiów Palace. It was built in the 18th century thanks to the initiative of count Antoni Feliks Łoś, coat of arms Dąbrowa. He was known for his artistic passions, and thus the palace had a theatre and an art school in addition to a large library. Surrounded by a vast park complex, the palace is shaped like a horseshoe. Its heyday was interrupted by World War I, when the retreating Austro-Hungarian troops looted and ravaged the building. In 1945, the palace was subject to heavy destruction. After the war, it slowly fell into ruin despite the attempts to save it. Things turned around only after the Pro Academia Narolense Foundation was called into being, aimed at the reconstruction of the palace and the continuation of cultural and educational activities initiated by count Łoś. These days, touring the palace is only possible by appointment. It is currently under renovation, since it was seriously damaged in the last phase of the war and immediately after it. In front of the palace, the trail meets a Green Velo trail. They both go north together through a beautiful drive lined with rows of chestnut trees, to the village of Podlesina. This is where the border lies between the Lublin and Podkarpacie Provinces. Past the railway line going from Przeworsk to Bełżec, the trails branch out, and the red trail goes towards the east. Then, after doing several kilometres on paved roads and dirt roads, the trail reaches the “Minokąt” reserve. It is area an of protected old beech and fir trees. Nearby, you can see partly overgrown parabolic dunes, which are a relic of the ice age.  Further on, the trail approaches Narol, meeting again with the Green Velo trail. In the village of Lipie, adjacent to Narol, you can see a regional museum created by local inhabitants, with interesting exhibits. The route comes to an end where it started, that is in the town square.

Points of interest along the trail:

  1. Narol - market square, religious monuments
  2. Łosiów Palace and palace park
  3. Podlesina - old cottages, chapels
  4. Lipsko - church

Not all fragments of the trail are suitable for bicycles with panniers/bike trailers. The trail uses solely roads with no motor vehicle traffic allowed or local roads with a low and very low vehicle traffic; no dangerous intersections. Recreational character.
